Yunnan Festival China 2009

In 2009 we arrange the 9th
Yunnan Festival
of totally 10 planned trips.
Many people have together with us experienced fantastic
Yunnan-trips thru the years and now everything is set for new,
exciting experiences! We arrange the ninth Yunnan-festival in
April 2009 together with Yunnan Government, and are now able to
offer the first ever orienteering-trip to North Korea!
After North Korea we also visit the exciting city of Changchun
(more known for Vasaloppet China) that has very good
orienteering terrain to offer. Here we have some nice days
before we have some time in Beijing and after that travelling
back home.
Our eminent "Swedish-Chinese" Tobi Demker will help us as a
"local tour-leader" and China-expert during the trip. |

Wednesday 1. April
Flight in the evening from Scandinavia to Beijing (night flight)
Thursday 2. April
We will land in Beijing and continue with a flight to Sanya on
Hainan,
the tropical island in South China.
Welcome dinner in the hotel.
Friday 3. April- Sunday 5. April
Hainan 3-days with 2 days in forest and 1 in park. Time also for
some recreation on the beach etc... |

Monday
6. April-Thursday 9.
April
Flight Sanya-Kunming-Lijiang
We plan an exciting ninth Yunnan Festival with 3 legs
Tuesday-Thursday.
Lijiang, Yuxi and Kunming
will be hosts for this years shorter Yunnan Festival.
You will experience exciting orienteering, exceptional nature
and cultural that will be outstanding. In cooperation with the
local organizer and Yunnan Sports there will be some fantastic
banquets... |

Friday 10. April
Flight to
Beijing
and sightseeing activities or free afternoon. We stay in a
hotel located central, close to restaurants, pubs and
shopping.
We arrange a trip to the Great Wall for them that
want to go there. Or you can spend time shopping it
is a ”must” in
Beijing.
You can find all sorts of things to very good prices (if you
bargain).
Saturday 11.
April
We go on by air to Pyong Yang, capital in North Korea.
Transfer from the airport to our hotel Koryo ****. Welcome
dinner at night.
Sunday 12. April
North Koreas first Int. Friendship O-festival.
Afternoon, we visit different cultural spots in Pyong Yang
as "Square Kim Il Sung", Mangyongdae and Revolution-museum.
Dinner banquet with O-association at night.
Monday 13.
April
We visit President Kim Il Sung's mausoleum at the old
Kumsunsan-palace and travel by bus to
Kaesong the old capital. Visit at
Panmunjom in the border between North and
South Korea.
Dinner in a traditional Korean restaurant before go to the
Hotel in Kaesong
Tuesday 14.
April
We will also visit Mt Myohyang after Kaesong with one night
at Hyangsan Hotel. Mt Myohyang is the most important
mountain in North Korea with many pittoresque valleys and
waterfalls.
Wednesday 15.
April
Breakfast and bus back to Pyong Yang where we today will
experience the national Circus with many good artists.
We eat dinner in a restaurant that serves specialities from
Korea and stay the last night in hotel Koryo ****. |

Thursday 16.
April
Train to the village
DanDong at the border to China and transport with bus or
train to Changchun, the capital in Jilin-province. Here we
will stay in a fantastic Hotel Shangri-la***** and maybe we
enjoy a bath and massage in the spa before welcome-dinner.
Friday 17. April
First leg in "Vasa 2-days Int." in the fantastic Jingyuetan
National Park. We visit the ski arena for Vasaloppet China
and offer you a trip to "The last emperor’s palace" before
dinner and "After Vasa bar" at night. |

Saturday 18.
April
Final in "Vasa 2-days Int." Free afternoon
before we invite to final banquet together with Changchun
Government! Those that have the strength, go on to "After
Vasa bar"...
Sunday 19.
April
Express train from Changchun-Beijing where we have time to
see some more of Beijing, The Tianmen square or OS-village.
The night will be free to do what you want – some might want
to visit San li tun (the pub road number one) or
Tobis ”PWT-restaurant/-pub”, not far from the hotel.
Monday 20.
April
There will be time for a last shopping-tour after breakfast
– if you still have empty space in your luggage.
We fly back home around lunch time and land at home the same
night. |

Already many people entered and more interested.
OBS! As Hainan, the
tropical Island in South China are interested in hosting
some o-events we plan a different program with a Hainan 3-days to start with before a shorter Yunnan
Festival!

Prices include:
Flight tickets, transport China and North Korea, hotels in
China and North Korea (share double room in 3-5 stars
hotel), Mostly full board incl. some banquets, experienced
tour leaders .
Extras:
Visa fees, flight taxes, Airport costs, start-/park fees.
Single room supplement in Hotels are app.25 euro/night.
! Tips are common to give in different occasions as
luggage help, in trains and hotels, to bus drivers. Keep
some pocket money for that reason.
The prices can be changed for reasons we can not foresee.
